Like so many people, I grew up not really knowing what I wanted to do with my life. I'd always been fascinated by the connection of mind and language in society, but didn't know how to channel this interest academically or professionally. I thought perhaps doing a degree in English Literature might be a rewarding fusion of these two fields, but instead, it was about this time that the world seemed to lose its colour and appeal. I felt lost and disconnected. Struggling to maintain my once active social life, I felt like I was losing who I really was; what it was to be 'me'. I couldn’t understand why I felt like this, when from the outside, it looked like I had everything. I was doing well on a respected course with good career prospects ahead of me. I could not, and did not, share my feelings with anyone for a very long time.
Eventually, I asked for help from a counsellor who transformed my life. And not only in a personal way. I was encouraged to see that my natural desire and compassion to create change were perfectly suited to the therapy room. From that moment, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life and I've never looked back.
From the moment I met Alexandra I knew I was in the presence of a truly unique soul. I experienced in her a very natural ability to connect at a deep level. She brings truth, honesty and wisdom, effortlessly! I believe that Alexandra will become a leading figure in the world of wellbeing and if you have the opportunity to work with her as a client I would take this opportunity. She is a trustworthy, intelligent and intuitive practitioner.
Katie Abbott CHYP HPD (Lic) Therapist and Coach.
After graduating, I went on to study Business Management in London and found work in a great property management company. At this time, I also decided to enrol on the Counselling and Psychotherapy course at Regent’s University and it was during my studies that I was lucky enough to receive mentoring from the incredible Katie Abbott and Bill Cumming at Pause Place on Harley Street in London. I can only describe their training programme as an exploration into the understanding of mind and human nature on a profoundly deep level. Following so many years of searching, Pause Place gave me the insight to find my own voice and the confidence to make a difference. I met some of the most inspirational coaches and therapists on this course, from whom I have learnt so many valuable lessons and skills.
If you are looking for a coach who will see your true essence you have found her. Alexandra has a clear open heart and tender presence. To connect with this soul is a deep joy. You will treasure your time with her
Lisa Wood, PG Cert (Clin Hyp)
Eager to develop my abilities, I attended the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy and gained a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy.
I love expanding my knowledge in order to better understand the human psyche and the world around us and I expect that there'll be many more courses to come!
Over time, I've managed to shape my studies of cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy within a therapeutic counselling framework, which I then tailor to the individual needs of each of my clients. Talking with people on a one-to-one basis, I help you discover what you truly want to achieve and have worked with clients struggling with many different issues, including anxiety, low self-confidence and debilitating habits.
Regardless of the problem, my clients always realise their full potential and get a new energy for life to start living their dreams.
It has been my privilege to work with Alexandra in our Pause Place program. Her access to the space of loving-kindness and thus her experience of the capacities that reside within all people is exceptional. She listens intently with her mind and heart
